Maddy‘s Dad Entertainment presents 3 Incredible Family-Friendly Shows at New World Stages;
Mike Messer Of The Dirty Sock Funtime Band (as seen on Noggin‘s "Jack‘s Big Music Show"); live, acoustic & unplugged!!!
Mike Messer: Live, Solo & Unplugged Producer Steven Sendor: “I’m the father of a little girl- Madelyn. Maddy’s 51/2. Like most parents I try very hard to be very involved in Maddy’s entertainment- what she’s reading, playing with, etc. And when Maddy watches TV, I try to watch with her. As many other parents will tell you- that’s not always easy. Children’s entertainment can often be a bit tedious for adults. That is why I’m such an enormous fan of The Dirty Sock Funtime Band... both as a parent and as a music-lover.
The Dirty Socks are an original, high-energy Rock N’ Roll band. They’re best-known from The Noggin Channel’s “Jack’s Big Music Show” and can be seen at various family events in and around New York City as well as on tour throughout the country. Last year I invited Mike Messer- the lead singer of The Dirty Socks- to come to my daughter’s school and do a little solo show for the kids. Most of the kids were familiar with Mike and were pretty excited to see him. Their excitement grew as Mike performed different versions of songs they are familiar with and love- different, in that, it was just Mike without the rest of the band... Live, Solo & Unplugged!
That wonderful and intimate performance for the kids became the inspiration for this new show. On Saturday, October 3rd, audiences will have a fantastic opportunity to see Mike perform a great mix of songs from The Dirty Socks and other really cool Rock and Pop tunes that are familiar to all of us. His amazing, engaging, fun-loving presence makes it impossible for us- the audience- to not have an incredible time.”
