Vision Education & Media’s RoboFun offers children age 6-13 fun programs in robotics, and video game design/computer animation. In the Robotics workshop, participants build, construct and program their own creative, interactive, autonomous robots, using mini-computers, LEGO® bricks, motors and sensors. In the Video Game Design workshop, children as young as 8 years old create their own video games, animated characters, and dynamic illustrations. They use MicroWorlds software and Logo programming language to design, animate and program their own unique computer games or other interactive projects. Both RoboFun workshops introduce children to powerful tools, traditionally only available to adults. Students develop problem-solving strategies and critical thinking skills, and explore their creativity as they create video games that others can play, interactive robots, and much, much more! Experienced technology educators help students to construct the robots and develop the video games. A hands-on approach allows students to learn by doing, and presents exciting challenges to students of all skill levels. Week-long, half-day and full-day summer camp workshops.
