Overview:

Feast of San Gennaro Festival. The electric atmosphere and festively decorated red, green and white flowered arches on Mulberry Street mean only one thing - that it's time for New York City’s biggest and best street festival -- the 78th Annual Feast of San Gennaro that brings more than 1 million people to the streets of Little Italy in an annual salute to the Patron Saint Gennaro.

There’s a special excitement in the air as parades snake along the streets of Little Italy, free entertainment of every variety crowd the outdoor stages throughout the neighborhood and hundreds of street vendors and restaurants will be serving heaping helpings of delicious Italian specialties.

Be on hand to see the annual cannoli-eating contest, where last year’s winner was crowned “World Champion Cannoli Eater by downing 21 cannolis in six minutes, and on the 19th, stay late to

witness the candle-lit procession as the statue of St. Gennaro is carried from its permanent home in Most Precious Blood Church on Mulberry Street.

There’s something for everyone at this year’s festival – good food, good music and good times.
