The Feast of San Gennaro The oldest, largest and liveliest festa, the Feast of San Gennaro attracts more than 3 million people over 11 days in September. The festival began in 1926 and is held along Mulberry Street between Canal and Houston Streets in what is now the remaining area of Little Italy.
The most popular feature of this festival is the food. Sausage sandwiches are a must! Let's take a brief visit around the neighborhood! Eating while standing may be fun for a while, but Little Italy is famous for its terrific trattorias! During the warm weather, it's always fun to sit outside and watch the people go by. |
