Overview
Caroline, or Change is set in
Louisiana in 1963, just before President Kennedy's assassination and during the
civil rights movement. It is the story of an African-American woman working as a
maid for a Jewish family as the Civil Rights movement is about to ignite and her
relationship with the family's young son.
