Overview:
When a sophisticated con artist joins a small time crook on a swindling spree through the French Riviera, the result is an evening of hilarious comedy.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, which opened on the Great White Way at the Imperial Theatre in late January, tells the story of Freddy Benson and Lawrence Jameson, both highly skilled at extracting large amounts of money from unsuspecting attractive, wealthy females.

When the two wind up in the same upscale resort town, they discover that it's not big enough for the both of them and wage a bet that will determine the one who will stay and which will go. Twists and turns at the end of the plot keep the audience guessing.

Based on the 1988 movie of the same name, this musical boasts Emmy and Tony-award winning actor John Lithgow and Norbert Leo Butz, best-known for his recent work in Wicked.

Lithgow has an opportunity to show off his comedic style in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and the great music allows Butz to showcase his amazing tenor voice and nimble dancing skills.

Due to its sometimes risque subject matter, Scoundrels may not be appropriate for pre-teens but families with older children will find the musical enjoyable for all.
