Overview:
Vital Theatre Company, a vibrant non-profit organization and a six-time winner
of the Off-Off Broadway Review's Award for Excellence has been named The
Theater Company of the Year in 2002 by The New York Theater Experience.
Their second presentation of the year in the realm of children's theater is a production called Cocus and Doot -- The Belly of the Beast written by Suzanne Bradbeer. The story reveals the friendship between the two main characters and their misadventures when they started to break the rules at the Central Park Zoo. Cocus and Doot start exploring the Zoo every night after the closing. Little by little, Cocus goes farther and farther from home. Until one day when they get lost and find themselves in the belly of the beast.
Appropriate for audiences 2-12.
