Overview:
While some may think that the recently opened macabre play The Pillowman is rather bizarre, London audiences found this thriller to be one of their favorites when it appeared in a West End theater in 2003.

Based on a story by playwright Martin McDonagh, The
Pillowman has been described as both "exhilarating" and "viciously funny."

Dubbed a comedy-drama, the subject matter concerns a fiction writer in a totalitarian state who is questioned about the gruesome content of his stories, especially because similar incidents to those described in his books have been occurring around town.

The play features rising film star Billy Crudup as the suspicious author and Jeff Goldblum, famous for his roles in Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and Independence Day as the main interrogator that expects Crudup is up to no good. This play is not suitable for elementary-aged children.
