 The Drowsy Chaperone

The Drowsy Chaperone just might be the new quintessential Broadway musical, not unlike the classics like 42nd Street or Sweet Charity. Complete with energetic song and dance, a little comedy, and some big talent, this highly-acclaimed musical comes to Broadway after a successful run in L.A. and promises to wow New York audiences. Touted as “a musical within a comedy”, The Drowsy Chaperone tells the story of a budding Broadway starlet searching for her true love. What could be more classic Broadway?

The music also promises to be both exciting and touching, with tunes that you’ll be singing long after you’ve left the theater. The cast of this musical features some new talent but many familiar names as well, such as Sutton Foster, who made a name for herself in Broadway’s Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Georgia Engel, a familiar face from the old Mary Tyler Moore Show. The show features material appropriate for older children and teens.
