Best known for its Lolli-Pops™ children’s concerts, Happy Concerts for
Young People and adult concert series, The Little Orchestra Society in
New York City has entertained several generations of families since its
establishment in 1947.
Concerts always entice the entire family, such as
the Little Orchestra’s Happy Concerts series celebration of the 250th birthday of the
amazing child composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with its “Party Down with Mozart!”
At every concert, music director Dino Anagnost
introduces youngsters to the brilliance of one of the greatest composers of all time…
a composer who wrote his first music at age four.
Lolli-Pops™ Concerts for ages 3-5, performed at
The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, are designed to spark music appreciation in little ones
with music, dance, drama and art. During the concerts, children will meet Mr. Maestro and
his adorable animal friends -- Bang the Lion, Toot the Bird, Buzz the Bee and Bow the Panda
(each representing a family of the orchestra).
To the amazement of many parents, each concert is
just as enchanting for adults as it is for children. And, adult concerts are similarly
programmed to inspire adult concertgoers to continue their enjoyment of symphonic,
operatic and modern compositions in the concert environment.
Use New York City kids and make New York City fun for the kids...and you!
