The Chassidic Discovery Welcome Center is a nonprofit cultural educational institution dedicated to sharing the ideals of Chassidic Life with a universal audience to educate, inspire, and familiarize all people with cultural warmth and understanding! The Chassidic movement is distinguished by its enthusiasm for meditative prayer, joyous service of the Creator, and intellectual mystical insight. The Chassidic movement was founded in 1734 by the Baal Shem Tov, Master of the Good Name. The Chassidic movement transformed European Jewry into a spiritual oasis in a relatively short period of time. In fact, over 60% of European Jewry became adherents to Chassidic ideals by the beginning of the second World War.
Tours
Visitors are thrilled and inspired by the open and honest dialog of understanding and the friendship that develops through their tour. In addition, your tour will include a captivating and warm introduction by a friendly Chassidic Jew, and a visit to an impressive and moving Chassidic Synagogue. You will see a Scribe writing an actual Torah Scroll with quill and feather, and experience the awesome history of a Chassidic Library, plus you will enjoy seasonal highlights and special attractions. Great kosher Jewish cuisine is a is also available for groups and individuals.
